Edward Red Eagle was an Osage politician who served on the Osage Nation tribal council and as an assistant chief of the Osage Nation.

Biography[edit]

Edward Red Eagle was born in Pawhuska, Oklahoma and attended Pawhuska High School. He later attended Wichita Business College before serving in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Philippines and Japan. He served on the Osage Nation tribal council for 40 years and three terms as the assistant chief of the Osage Nation.[1]

He died on May 2, 1999.[1] His father, Paul Red Eagle, and son, John Red Eagle, both also served in Osage Nation government.[2]
