Eric J. Rose is an American business executive who is the founder and chief executive officer of Event Risk.[1][2]

Early life and education[edit]

Rose grew up in Delaware, Ohio. He completed a program in cybersecurity and managing risk at Harvard University and holds a master of arts in criminal justice from Arizona State University.[3]

Career[edit]

Rose began his career in the United States Marine Corps in 1996, serving in the Marine Anti-Terrorism Security Team.[3] After his military service, Rose worked in executive protection and internal theft investigation for a family listed in Forbes.[3]

Rose then transitioned into law enforcement, serving as a police officer with assignments in the Gang Suppression Unit and as a field training officer.[3] He later joined the U.S. Navy as a trainer for Seal Team 8, eventually becoming lead trainer at the U.S. Naval Special Warfare Command, where he developed training curricula and tactics for SEAL Team operations.[3]

Rose has worked at Pinkerton, managing security for Fortune 500 companies and entertainment events such as the Super Bowl, Grammys, and Emmys.[3] He is also known as a former bodyguard to many celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and John Legend.[4] He held senior security roles at Apple Inc and the Madison Square Garden Company.[3]

In 2019, Rose founded Event Risk, a firm providing physical security and consulting services.[3][4]

Rose is credited for evacuating Madison Square Garden during the Jennifer Lopez concert in the 2019 blackout of New York City.[4]
