Club history[edit]
Ringwood Basketball Association (RBA) was founded in 1990, with a men's team debuting in the Country Victorian Invitation Basketball League (CVIBL) in 1990 followed by a women's team in 1991.[1] In 1999, the men's team won the VBL Division One championship.[1] In 2012, the men's team won their first Big V championship. This was followed by titles in 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018.[1] The women's team also won a Big V championship in 2015.[1]
In 2019, the Hawks joined the NBL1 for its inaugural season.[2][3] The NBL1 South season did not go ahead in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[4] In the 2022 NBL1 season, the Hawks women won the NBL1 South championship[5] and reached the grand final of the NBL1 National Finals.[1]
