Wade Omer Martin Jr. (April 18, 1911 – August 6, 1990), also known as W. O. Martin Jr., was an American politician. He served as Secretary of State of Louisiana from 1944 to 1976.[1]

Life and career[edit]

Martin was born in Arnaudville, Louisiana. He attended Southwestern Louisiana Institute and Louisiana State University.[2]

Martin served as Secretary of State of Louisiana from 1944 to 1976.[1]

Martin died[3] on August 6, 1990, at the age of 79.

In 2001, Martin was posthumously inducted into the Louisiana Political Museum and Hall of Fame.[4]
