Ethnicity[edit]

The Hewaheta Polling Division has a Sinhalese majority (90.1%) . In comparison, the Kandy Electoral District (which contains the Hewaheta Polling Division) has a Sinhalese majority (74.4%) and a significant Moor population (13.9%) [1]
