Sher Singh Kadyan was a freedom fighter and politician from Jhajjar, Haryana. He served as Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab during the 1950s when Pratap Singh Kairon was the Chief Minister. He also served as Minister of State for Communication, Defence and Education. He was elected to the 1st and 2nd Punjab Legislative Assembly from the Jhajjar constituency, serving from 1952 to 1972. In 1977, he was elected to the Lok Sabha from Rohtak.

Political career

Kadyan was elected to the Punjab Legislative Assembly in 1952 and 1957 from the Jhajjar constituency as a member of the Indian National Congress. He also served as Minister of State for Communications, Defence, and the Education Department in the Government of India. He served as Deputy Prime Minister of Punjab during the 1950s. He was also Vice Chairman of the All India Prohibition Committee.
